Overlooking the beautiful Monterey Bay, the house was built by Winkleblack Construction using many recycled materials while integrating unique features with magnificent design. Custom stonework is used extensively inside and out, including floors and patios made of Idaho quartzite, and exteriors using original Carmel stone. The marine layer chill is chased away with radiant heat below the stone floors and two Rumford masonry fireplaces. All cabinetry was built on-site, and the bullnose plastering is further evidence of the attention to detail during construction.
